Triumph GT6 Images and Technical Specification

Triumph GT6

History

The GT6 is a striking fastback coupe with styling by Michelotti and introduced in 1966, with E-type lines, was derived from the Spitfire and powered by a tuned version of the smooth and robust 2-litre straight six engine and twin Strombergs, already shared by the Triumph Vitesse and Triumph 2000 saloon. With just 13,042 MkIII examples made, it is quite a rare car to find today.. The last of the line, the MkIII adopted a simpler 'swing spring' arrangement and borrowed a similar look to its' bigger brother, the Triumph Stag, at the rear and the MKIV Spitfire.
